Can You Visualise Your Success?

Did you know I used to be a Financial Advisor? Yep, in one of my previous lives 🙂 It is there that I first encountered motivation by Visualising Your Success. So, do you have a Vision Board? Have you told people what you want to achieve? Have you told people what your dreams are and when you are going to achieve them?

If you haven’t then you might want to start! Because those that do have an uncanny ability to achieve their success.

Did you know the brain, once it has a thought sends it to your subconscious and can start to work on it. But you need to have a clear vision of what you want. It’s about goal setting, but getting down to your fundamentals. What is it you REALLY want to achieve. What is it your REALLY want to succeed at?

Is it physical like a new house or a fancy car?

Is it really core level where you want more time freedom to spend with your family or see the world?

Is is a certain amount of cash in the bank?

You see this visualisation stuff can really work 🙂

I am not one to believe that things just happen out of the blue, fairy tales and dreams for dreams sake. What I do know, is that if you set yourself a GOAL – write it down, put it on a vision board, tell people about it and then set steps in motion to achieve that dream; THEN that visualisation, that desire, will start to manifest itself.

I recently decided I had to lose weight and I needed to lose about 20lbs. So, I set myself that goal in 30days to achieve it. I visualised I would be able to get into my size 12 jeans, whereas I was now in tight size 14’s (this is UK sizes).

So, what did I do?

I joined a weight loss program and with that came groups on Facebook. I did videos every 7 days to weigh myself and post it on my FB timeline. I made sure I didn’t have anything in my pantry that was going to tempt me away from my mission!

And guess what – gradually over the 30 days I reached my goal and actually lost 22lbs 🙂

Now I have since asked myself – what if I’d set a goal of 60 days and 40lbs?

Well I think the outcome would have been that I’d have lost 40lbs. In fact I am sure of it!
